1. Results are available for up to 6 hours. 
2. TesTcard 9 uses urine as a sample.

TesTcard 9 can be left in the sample while the test runs.

A light blue band is considered a negative result.

5.

If the Test Valid band is missing, the result can still be used.

TesTcard 9 provides a “confirmed” result.

The pipette is used to add water to the test.

TesTcard 9 must be used within 8 hours after removal from the foil pouch.

9. Specimens must be refrigerated before dipping the TesTcard 9.

TesTcard 9 is dipped up to the “Test Valid” box.

The absence of color indicates a presumptive positive result.

A smear of blue color in a strip means that the test is done.

The test must be timed.

TesTcard 9 comes packaged in a foil pouch showing the Lot Number and Expiration Date.

TesTcards can be used after their expiration date as long as the foil has not been opened.

You must wait at least 10 minutes for the results to appear.

17.

The TesTcard 9 device should be placed face-down on a flat surface after dipping.

18.

It’s best to collect at least 30 mL of sample in case confirmation is necessary.           

19.

Latex gloves and adulteration strips are available from Varian.

20.

It’s best to tap the card on the side of the cup after dipping, to remove excess sample.

21.

TesTcard 9 cutoffs are based on individual state testing guidelines.
